Kits to Heart is a nonprofit organization in which they make Care Kits for cancer patients. To  volunteer, go onto their website to find what materials they are low on (pillows, cards, origami, etc.). Then you can make the items and mail them to their center in Maryland (address is provided on their website). They'll then get back to you in a week or so with your hours.
