Access Free Tutoring.

High school students are offering free, one-on-one virtual tutoring for elementary, middle, and high schoolers in the Mill Creek area due to the COVID-19 crisis’ impact on learning.

Who We Are

We are students from Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek, WA. Our school club — National Honor Society — is focused on volunteer work, to give back to our community. We recognize COVID-19’s effect on education, and how many students have fallen behind in key concepts. Based on a project by high schoolers in Seattle, we are looking to combat this virus’ impact on student learning by providing tutoring to elementary, middle, and high schoolers who may need it.

How It Works

1.

Jackson High School tutors will sign up to tutor by indicating their tutoring preferences and availability on the tutor sign-up form

Parents of elementary and middle school students in the Everett School District fill out the tutor request form, indicating subjects and available times to meet

Jackson High School students seeking tutoring fill out the high school tutor request form, indicating subjects and available times to meet

2.

We will try to pair each student with a high school tutor according to the subjects and availability times as indicated on the forms.

3.

After being matched, we'll provide each tutor with their pair's contact information. From there, parents or students and tutors will be able to communicate individually to figure out topics and scheduling that best fit each other's needs.
