FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What do I have to turn in at the end of the semester?

A: At the end of the semester, please submit your hour logs as well as any outside hour logs and sign-in sheets for leadership points to the Scoop. No late hour logs will be accepted.

Q: Where can I access the hour logs?

A: Hour logs, alongside important forms, can be found on the Forms section of our website. Please remember to print out your hour logs! We do not accept electronic submissions.

Q: Where do I see what requirements I've fulfilled?

A: We are working on posting our member requirements checklist onto our website, but it remains crucial that members keep track of their requirements on their hour logs, which includes volunteer hours, event submissions, and leadership points. If you have any questions regarding your requirements, please email us at jhshonorsociety@gmail.com, and we can check for you!

Q: I can't attend a meeting! What can I do?

A: We understand that NHS members are busy students! Please send us an email at jhshonorsociety@gmail.com and let us know why you will not be able to attend. We will excuse your absence and you will not be penalized in any way. We will publish our meeting slides to the Meetings section of our website so that you can catch up on any information you missed!

Q: How many hours can I earn from donations?

A: You can earn up to 2 hours from donations. You MUST email photo proof of your donations to jhshonorsociety@gmail.com.

Q: What happens if I am unable to fulfill my semester requirements?

A: Although we expect every member to fulfill their requirements, we understand if there are circumstances that prevent you from doing so. Please do your best to continue completing the requirements you are able to; we will communicate with members who have not fulfilled their requirements at the end of the semester to work out a solution.
