Salmon Habitat Restoration in Woodinville!

Description

Description: Join Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group on the King County Parks-owned West Sammamish River Trail in Woodinville to restore Chinook salmon habitat! We are in the process of removing Himalayan blackberry from a 1200 foot stretch of river bank and mulching the site to prevent re-growth. Your help and support is so valuable and necessary to getting this work done! Upon signing up you will receive an email with information on how to access the site. If you are under 18 and attending without a parent or guardian, please also print and fill out the Youth Waiver Form attached to the confirmation email and bring it with you to the event!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please DO NOT sign up to volunteer at any in-person events if you are sick or believe that you have any symptoms of COVID-19. We would never want to put our members at risk in any way, and there are plenty of virtual or at-home ways to earn hours this semester. If you choose to volunteer in-person, make sure you follow all state and county coronavirus guidelines and stay safe when volunteering!

Additionally, please do NOT skip class to attend events. If an event takes place during school hours, only volunteer if you're in Running Start/have an alternative schedule that doesn't cause you to skip class!
