Silver Firs STEAM Night
Description
CONTACT: NLinn@everettsd.org
STEAM night is March 4th from 5-7pm. It is a night for families to learn and experience Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) activities related to their every day lives. This year our theme is centered around Health and Fitness.
We will have demonstrations, experiments, and information as well as local companies coming so families can explore new and interesting ways to stay healthy! A local dance studio is just one example. Mental health, physical wellbeing, and understanding how our bodies work are all a part of this years experiences. Teachers and volunteers will help family members explore each station. I hope this clarifies our fun and interactive STEAM Night for you. Please let me know if you have further questions, or if you would like to be involved if that is appropriate.
There are two shifts students can sign up for:
4:30-6:30 (set up and manning a station)
5:30-7:30 (manning a station and clean up).
**NOTE: Make sure you contact the organizer so they know you will be attending the event.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please DO NOT sign up to volunteer at any in-person events if you are sick or believe that you have any symptoms of COVID-19. We would never want to put our members at risk in any way, and there are plenty of virtual or at-home ways to earn hours this semester. If you choose to volunteer in-person, make sure you follow all state and county coronavirus guidelines and stay safe when volunteering!

Additionally, please do NOT skip class to attend events. If an event takes place during school hours, only volunteer if you're in Running Start/have an alternative schedule that doesn't cause you to skip class!
