Hours vary based on your schedule. We can also coordinate one-time sorting opportunities for individuals or groups, both in person and remotely.
Qualifications - Ability to knit, crochet, or sew items for donation, or willingness to learn a new skill. Willingness and ability to work with people from a variety of racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds, with various lifestyles, gender identities, and sexual orientations, and of all ages
Sign up info: 1) Complete the online One-Time Volunteer Intake Form (https://www.solid-ground.org/one-time-volunteer-intake/) and have any of your friends/coworkers who are volunteering also fill out one.
2) Print and fill out a Knit-It-Alls Volunteer Report (https://s14621.pcdn.co/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/KIA-Pink-Slip-Template.pdf) to indicate the number and type of donations. Please include one slip within each bag/package.
3) Email our Volunteer Coordinator at Volunteers@solid-ground.org to plan a drop-off if you’re not mailing items, coordinate a group counting/tagging/organizing project, or ask any questions.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please DO NOT sign up to volunteer at any in-person events if you are sick or believe that you have any symptoms of COVID-19. We would never want to put our members at risk in any way, and there are plenty of virtual or at-home ways to earn hours this semester. If you choose to volunteer in-person, make sure you follow all state and county coronavirus guidelines and stay safe when volunteering!
Additionally, please do NOT skip class to attend events. If an event takes place during school hours, only volunteer if you're in Running Start/have an alternative schedule that doesn't cause you to skip class!
