Volunteer at Perrigo Parkrun

Description

Volunteers needed for our fun and friendly 5k community event at Perrigo Park held each Saturday at 9am.  Volunteer openings and dates can be found on the roster page: https://www.parkrun.us/perrigo/futureroster  More details and FAQ can be found here: https://www.parkrun.us/perrigo/volunteer/  Parkrun events take place every week and everyone is welcome to volunteer, we’d love you to join in!  There are plenty of opportunities to try new roles, apply your skills or learn new ones, be with friends and family, meet people and be a part of the parkrun community.  You don’t need any experience of parkrun, junior parkrun or of volunteering. There are a range of roles to choose from, and many of them can be combined with walking or running too.  You can volunteer alone or team up with someone else, and there are always people on hand if you have any questions.  If you know in advance that you would like to volunteer (either the next weekend or a future date) please email perrigo@parkrun.com and we will be in touch – we’d love to hear from you! Please include your full name and, if you know it, your parkrun ID found on your barcode.  There is something for everyone at parkrun, you could be setting up the course, scanning people’s barcodes at the finish or ensuring everyone gets safely around the route as a marshal. You can find a full list of the roles here. We never ask anybody to do anything they're not comfortable with and if you want to do a particular volunteer role, please let us know and we'll try to accommodate.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please DO NOT sign up to volunteer at any in-person events if you are sick or believe that you have any symptoms of COVID-19. We would never want to put our members at risk in any way, and there are plenty of virtual or at-home ways to earn hours this semester. If you choose to volunteer in-person, make sure you follow all state and county coronavirus guidelines and stay safe when volunteering!

Additionally, please do NOT skip class to attend events. If an event takes place during school hours, only volunteer if you're in Running Start/have an alternative schedule that doesn't cause you to skip class!
