Habitat Stores are second-use home improvement stores that sell quality building materials, furniture, and other household items to the community at great discount. All proceeds from Habitat Store sales support Habitat Snohomish in building and repairing homes for families, right here, in our community! We are looking for High School Students 16 and over to join our volunteer team! We support students working towards volunteer credit hours for school. As a Volunteer Store Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with interesting people, learn new skills, and use your talents. You will have the opportunity to interact with local community members and assist in a variety of store functions. Our stores are a full experience, with both warehouse and sales floor opportunities. Donation Warehouse: Accepting donations, sorting and pricing products, assisting with inventory organization, bringing items out to the sales floor Sales floor: Cashiering, organizing and stocking shelves, creating displays, assisting customers with loading out purchases, customer service No special experience is required for this volunteer position, all interested are welcome. Our amazing store staff will lead the way! We have 2 Habitat Store locations in Lynnwood and Everett. Store hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm You can register to volunteer and sign up for an orientation at habitatsnohomish.volunteermatters.org We believe every hand makes a difference in building a better community. They then dedicate all profits to support building and repairing homes for low-income families in our community. As a Volunteer Store Associate, you get to work with interesting people, contribute your talents, and learn new skills. Duties include tasks such as: accepting donations, sorting and pricing products, organizing and stocking shelves, creating displays, assisting customers with loading out purchases, cashiering, customer service, and assisting senior team members with other tasks as needed. No special experience is required for this volunteer position, all interested are welcome. The age requirement for this position is 16 and over. Please DO NOT sign up to volunteer at any in-person events if you are sick or believe that you have any symptoms of COVID-19. We would never want to put our members at risk in any way, and there are plenty of virtual or at-home ways to earn hours this semester. If you choose to volunteer in-person, make sure you follow all state and county coronavirus guidelines and stay safe when volunteering!

Additionally, please do NOT skip class to attend events. If an event takes place during school hours, only volunteer if you're in Running Start/have an alternative schedule that doesn't cause you to skip class!
