Description
UNDER 18 WAIVER FORM: https://seattle.greencitypartnerships.org/doc/entities/seattle/youth_release_waiver.pdf
Help restore native plants along this lovely trail around the public golf course. We're out there every third Saturday. Enjoy the birds, trees, Thornton Creek, and views into the golf course (and the occasional golf ball find!)
Bring water and lunch and dress for the weather and dirt (long pants, sleeve, and shoes you can get dirty)! We have gloves and tools.
Entrance to the golf course is 1000 NE 135th St, Seattle. Check your map, as it's a little tricky. click here Look for us near the open grassy area near the trail kiosk and the big white "leaf" sculpture near NE 135th and 11th NE, next to the trail. From the busstop on 15th NE at NE 135th (#73, 347, 348) follow golf course fenceline heading west on trail (towards I-5) to the open area at the top of the hill.
Parking is available in the overflow lot at the Jackson Park Golf Course entrance (open area north of NE 135th at 11th NE)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please DO NOT sign up to volunteer at any in-person events if you are sick or believe that you have any symptoms of COVID-19. We would never want to put our members at risk in any way, and there are plenty of virtual or at-home ways to earn hours this semester. If you choose to volunteer in-person, make sure you follow all state and county coronavirus guidelines and stay safe when volunteering!

Additionally, please do NOT skip class to attend events. If an event takes place during school hours, only volunteer if you're in Running Start/have an alternative schedule that doesn't cause you to skip class!
